About "A Slice Above"
Hello there!
I’m Tosha Wood, the owner and cake designer of "A Slice Above". I was born and raised right here in Linn County, and have been baking since I was big enough to hold a spoon. Helping Mom in the kitchen has always been a favorite pastime, and has given me a great love for everything delicious.
Through the years, I have dabbled in cake decorating, and have enjoyed making cakes for family and friends. However, recently I was given an amazing opportunity to apprentice with a top wedding cake and dessert bakery in Kansas City. This proved to be an experience that I loved. In fact, it hardly felt like work! However, since I am a true country girl at heart and desire to be with my family, I have returned to my beloved farm, and am now opening up “A Slice Above” right here in rural north Missouri.
